GLORIOUS DAY at the Brimfield Antique Fair & Flea Market

One of my very favorite places to be!

I've been treasure hunting at Brimfield for over 30 years, so it was an absolute delight to debut on the field with Glorious Day for all 3 shows in 2017! I very affectionately refer to Brimfield as "The Brimming Fields," as that is precisely what it feels like to me - an overflowing, joyful, creative playground!

I enjoyed so much opening up shop in the morning with everyone in the neighborhood, greeting and meeting everyone throughout the day ("Welcome to Glorious Day!" which everyone came to echo and enjoy), becoming friends with other wonderful dealers and having kindred spirits find me - it was a rich learning experience and such great fun, a harbinger of joyful days to come!

I was on the field again for the 2018 shows, but busy galavanting, treasure-hunting, and connecting with dear friends and fellow curators with a grander vision in mind...

Wonderful days ahead - so much in the works… stay tuned!

Much love, Shana

How do I love thee, Brimfield?

Let me count the ways...

Glorious Day on the field for the 2017 Brimfield Shows - May, July and September:

And this blessed my heart SO much: while at the May 2018 show, walking along Route 20 late one afternoon, this image on the cover of the Guide to Brimfield caught my eye... a photo of my space at my very first show a year prior, in May 2017 - such a delightful surprise!

My own home has countless items from Brimfield, and my daughters have treasure-hunted with me there since they were toddlers!

Back when Rachel was just six! Love her little chenille jacket? :)

Both Charlotte and Rachel a few years back, in our favorite neighborhood in The Meadows… they both have amazing sense of aesthetic, no doubt in part fueled by all those days out on the fields!

If you’ve never been, allow me to attempt to give you a taste of what you’ve been missing!

The fields seem endless - you can spend literally days exploring, and still only scratch the surface… tens of thousands of shoppers too, yet somehow many locals don’t even realize all that’s there! (click the image below to link to more specifics on their website)

This is actually only the western portion of markets, as they spill out from Rt 20… there are far more fields than this shows!

Here’s just a small peek in at ground level… so much to see - wonders and treasures of near every kind imaginable!

Hoping you're getting at least a sense for why Brimfield is so loved, by me and countless others!

Follow us on facebook (instagram coming!) to stay tuned with all the Glorious Day at Brimfield happenings, discoveries and live videos - there are videos posted from May and July, with September yet to come, and I can’t wait t0 show you around this wondrous place some more and introduce you to more of the wonderful people, vendors and wealth of treasures that make it one of my favorite places to be!

One way or another, hope to see you there!

Cheers,

Shana
