Another taste of what’s to come: we’re readying to establish a Glorious Day auction hub in our Shop Glorious Day operations and begin to serve the vast demand to rehome/resell/reuse/restore, opening up access to a wealth of furnishings, art and treasure right within our local communities. Households that are moving, downsizing and clearing out excess, as well as vast institutional abundance, estate sales and storage, represent a near endless supply to surface and recirculate, with many benefits of selling from right on site, including minimizing transport, and safe, seamless transactions with supervised pickups.
Whether attending a LIVE auction in person, LIVE online, or just simply online, you’ll be able to find more than you might imagine: antique, vintage and gently-loved items, curiosities, art, jewels and wild, unexpected discoveries of every kind!

Our inaugural Glorious Online Auction Sale took place back in March 2019, a beta test and taste of what’s to come…
The online sale in March ran for 9 days, one of the featured listings a large 41x63 piece, “Evening in Verona” by Russian Artist Viktor Shvaiko - a signed, numbered, hand-enhanced deluxe serigraph on canvas, in an elegant frame, with certificate of authenticity. If only we could see all that’s really available and home it for real utility and enjoyment - I expect we’d all be amazed… and enriched!
During the March sale I hosted a LIVE Auction Preview Chat, “A Few of My Favorite Things” on facebook too, covered all the auction closing action live there as well - more warmups for the days ahead! This sale was held in partnership with Maxsold, and they interviewed me online for their Professional Partner video series while the auction was live as well: new for me - yet another groundbreaking experience!

I was delighted to have bidders engage with 98% of the 150+ listings - what you might find in any household downsizing. Nearly 40% went into extended time in the closing minutes - that fun tug-of-war zone that so often fires up in the final moments! This initial foray into auctions was a great learning adventure, and wonderful to see such a diverse collection successfully “rehomed” within just a few short weeks, start to finish!
The pickup event felt like #ChristmasInTheAir and was a bit of a wild and wonderful whirlwind, with everything claimed and cleared out within a 4 hour window (another wonder!) - this too was great fun! So many pleased treasure-hunters, homemakers, estate shoppers, resellers, neighbors, kindred spirits… looking forward to more!
As for the LIVE auctions, I’m envisioning extravaganzas - affairs to bring the whole community out again, for fun, fundraising and great finds!
