Shop Glorious Day is bringing to life a new kind of dynamic creative community & shopping experience: combining the gifts of brilliant curators, designers, artisans, makers and partner suppliers to create for you a delightful, inspiring environment with a wealth of exceptional beauty and treasure: furnishing, art, adornment, fashion, finds and more, from near and far.
Gathering together exceptional artisan, craftsman, antique, vintage, gently-loved and upcycled offerings, we’re creating fresh, captivating, engaging, “old made new,” re-mixed shopping experiences, equipping you to design your own wonderful spaces and bring more enlivening aesthetics and rich inspiration (along with a measure of playfulness and good fun!) into all the places you gather, dwell, work and call home.
The offerings will be refreshed continuously - renewed each day, and ever-changing - a distinctive Shop Glorious Day vibe always, but with each location carrying uniquely mixed and expressed collections:
from small and simple, to elegant and grand,
from classic and formal to whimsical and playful,
from modest to magnificent, from original to reproductions,
from manufactured to one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted and artisan pieces,
from curiosities to rare, exquisite antiques,
treasure of all kinds: antiquities to new, from near and far…
The gallery and images below provide a peek into just some of the kinds of finds we’ve discovered and are readying to bring you - microcosmic re-mixes of the wonderfully enlivening, diverse and richly-textured Brimfield, Round Top and other beloved markets, made available to you year-round. We’re bringing the vast wealth of resources back “home” into our community space, making it all more visible and accessible in real, inspiring, playful, creative environments, not just fleeting, transient pop-ups, also bringing to the surface all that’s hidden in the endless needles-in-haystacks of online markets, sitting in storage or waiting for discovery, sometimes even trying very hard to be found.
Time to rediscover eachother, and the great joy of being together and discovering all the hidden wealth right in our midst, and all our collective, captivating joys and loves… I can’t wait!
Our Shop Glorious Day flagship showcase/concept locations are readying to get under way, with a vast landscape of opportunity and wealth of resources to be surfaced and creativity to be re-cultivated - opening in a cluster of locations on the near horizon, with countless more to prepare and unleash!
With a wonderfully-gifted connected community of inspiring, pioneering designers/curators/artisans/suppliers and an available supply that is already more than we can even contain, all sure to awaken and inspire, I’m sitting on the edge of my seat… seriously can’t wait to bring it all to life!
Growing up in Western Massachusetts and raising my six children there the past 17 years, the Brimfield Antique Fair & Flea Market my “home” field for decades, my initial focus had been close by, in the Creative/Arts/Greening Industry & Innovation District here in Holyoke, with all the potential for a significant showcase/hub to house a whole new kind of creative community & market space. While that is certainly still on the project development horizon - dear to my own heart and an open canvas of possibility (see http://www.gloriousday.us/shopgloriousdaylocations), I’ve now (Spring 2021) rooted into the world-renowned Round Top, Texas as “home playground,” after venturing here in March 2020 to do just that, and weathering and waiting through the strange year we’ve all experienced since.
I’m seeing the seeding of initial cluster Shop Glorious Day flagship spaces in a myriad of places and market forms - unique manifestations, adapted and enhanced to reflect and radiate the richness of the vibrant creative culture of each community. What we’re calling “Shop” really more a micro global-local (glocal) community and exchange, in which we discover, support, enjoy, celebrate, amplify, enrich, serve, create for and richly bless eachother, growing and expanding together and creating wonderful places where we’ll all love to live and celebrate all the goodness, filled to the brim with all we enjoy!
I’m so looking forward to facilitating new discoveries, fandoms, confidence and enjoyments as they are sure to take root and grow once you’ve seen, experienced and touched these kinds of offerings for yourself and had opportunity to get to know the wonderfully gifted artisans, makers, designers and curators and all the love, story, knowledge, joy and care captured and reflected in all they create, gather and enjoy making available to you!

While the heartbeat of it all is to cultivate and nurture vibrant local creative community life, we want to serve and support online/virtual access dimensions too, and we most certainly want to leverage technology smartly and wisely to lighten the load for everyone as much as possible and deliver as much as we can of the near endless resources to where they will actually be “homed” - in use, appreciated and enjoyed, beautifying and serving, not stored or on standby.
Shop Glorious Day online/mobile in the works too, we’re also tuning into how online shopping and technology is changing, have identified some of the skilled support to help us navigate those frontiers too.
